Florida’s leading tackler is headed to the NFL.
Linebacker Vosean Joseph announced Wednesday that he will forgo his senior season in Gainesville and enter the 2019 NFL Draft. He posted a message to Gators fans on Twitter, which you can also read below.
Joseph made 87 total tackles this season as Florida reached 10 wins under first-year coach Dan Mullen. The junior also tallied nine tackles for loss, four sacks and four passes defensed.
The 6-foot-1, 226-pound linebacker is the fourth Gator to leave school early for the NFL draft, joining safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, defensive end Jachai Polite and offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor. That means three members of Florida’s 20th-ranked scoring defense will be forgoing their final year of eligibility.
