Florida men’s tennis wins program’s first national championship, defeating Baylor

Florida athletics added another national championship this weekend. On Saturday night, the UF men’s tennis won its first title in program history, defeating Baylor 4-1.
Freshman Ben Shelton, the son of head coach Bryan Shelton, secured the title with a clinching win in the No. 5 singles roughly ten minutes after midnight.

Shelton becomes the first head coach in college tennis history to win a women’s national title (2007, Georgia Tech) and a men’s national championship.
