Florida is bringing back its interlocking UF logo in more ways than one for Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt.

On Sunday, the Gators announced throwback uniforms for the Week 6 game against Vanderbilt, continuing a recent homecoming tradition. This year’s homecoming throwbacks include the interlocking UF logo on the helmet. The unaffiliated Gators Uniform Tracker Twitter account revealed that the logo will also be featured on Steve Spurrier-Florida Field on the 25-yard lines.

Florida is combining looks from the 1960s and 70s for Saturday:

This weekend’s uniform combination features a mix of items worn between the late 60s and early 70s. The orange helmet was adopted by coach Ray Graves for the 1969 season, and it featured the interlocking “UF” symbol until Charley Pell introduced the script “Gators” logo in 1979, his first season as coach.

Saturday’s game is set for a noon kickoff, airing on the SEC Network.
