Florida picks up commitment from elite 2022 4-star in-state defensive lineman

Things haven’t been going according to plan for the Florida Gators on the field this year, but the recruiting class for the 2022 cycle is still going strong.
On Wednesday, the Gators landed a 4-star defensive lineman out of Melbourne, Florida.
As you can see below, 4-star DL Jamari Lyons of Viera High School announced his commitment to Dan Mullen’s program, as reported by Blake Alderman:

Mullen welcomed Lyons to the Gators’ class with the following tweet:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Lyons is the No. 48 defensive lineman in the class of 2022 and the No. 46 overall recruit from the state of Florida.
The Gators now have 15 players in their 2022 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 16 in the nation and No. 5 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
