Florida players react to criticism over canceled LSU game

Florida has taken a lot of criticism this week for the Hurricane Matthew-related cancellation of its game with LSU.
While South Carolina and Georgia rescheduled their game for Sunday afternoon, no such arrangement was made by the Gators and Tigers.
That has led to some questioning whether Florida is trying to use the weather to its advantage to earn an SEC East title by avoiding a game against a resurgent LSU team.
Several Gators took to Twitter on Saturday to defend themselves, saying they’re totally willing to play LSU:

We want to play, if it was the players call we would play , but we don't make the decisions. We just do as we are told

There are likely to be further discussions about the possibility of rescheduling the game in the coming weeks.
With so much on the line for several SEC teams, it would be shocking if the two teams didn’t face off sometime in 2016.
