The 2017 season got off to a rough start for the Florida Gators, as nine players, including star WR Antonio Callaway and RB Jordan Scarlett, were suspended for credit card fraud.
Several of the players have already transferred or declared for the NFL, but the others were awaiting a decision on their Florida futures.
Now, according to reports from Florida beat writers, four Gators have been allowed to return to team activities, including Scarlett:
Jordan Scarlett among four #Gators reinstated for team activities following suspension for CC fraud, per source. Ventrell Miller, James Houston, Rick Wells join him.

Obviously, that’ll be a big boost for new head coach Dan Mullen as he takes the reins of the program in 2018 and beyond.
A fifth suspended player could also soon return to action, according to Mark Long of the AP:
A fifth player, defensive lineman Keivonnis Davis, also is enrolled in school but is recovering from a scooter accident

Having Scarlett back is a big break for the Gator offense, and it’ll be interesting to see what sort of role he can earn for himself in 2018 after missing all of last season.
