One of the most intriguing matchups during Week 1 of the 2017 college football season is sure to be Florida vs. Michigan at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The game will feature two teams with amazing defenses, but plenty of question marks on offense — most notably at the quarterback position.

However, Florida RB Mark Thompson is tired of all the negativity surrounding the Gators and took to Twitter on Monday afternoon to say he can’t wait to prove the doubters wrong against the Wolverines:

As a junior in 2016, Thompson appeared in 10 games, running the ball 68 times for 299 yards and two scores. He also caught four passes for 105 yards and a score.

Though Thompson will be behind Jordan Scarlett and possibly Lamical Perine on the Florida depth chart, he’ll have the entire Michigan defense gunning for him in Week 1 after these comments, so he’ll have to be ready to back up his words when he does get carries.
