Florida running back Mark Thompson will not make the trip to Jacksonville for tomorrow’s rivalry series with Georgia due to “choices and decisions he’s made.”

Thompson, a 6-foot-2, 240-pound junior from Pennsylvania, is Florida’s third-leading rusher with 57 carries for 262 yards (4.6 ypc) and two touchdowns. He posted a career-high 85 yards in a Week 3 contest against North Texas and received 10 carries two weeks ago during the Gators’ 40-14 win vs. Missouri.

Thompson transferred to Florida this past offseason after being named as a NJCAA second-team All-American with Dodge City Community College, where he served as the nation’s No. 1-ranked JUCO running back for the class of 2016.
