Florida redshirt sophomore running back Treyaun Webb had a surgical procedure on Monday on a muscle rupture in his right hamstring, according to a report from Swamp247 on Tuesday morning.

Webb’s potential return date to Florida’s lineup is unclear right now. He was not seen at the 5th practice of fall camp on Tuesday morning, creating some question marks about his recovery timeline from the hamstring surgery. The Swamp247 report also contained information from a source that stated the surgery is not expected to keep Webb out for a significant period of time.

Per Swamp247, Webb’s return could come as early as Florida’s SEC opener against LSU on Sept. 13. The LSU game is a primetime matchup on ABC at Death Valley, so getting Webb back for that showdown could be key for Billy Napier’s team.

Webb has been injury-prone so far in his college career. The 5-foot-11, 217-pound Jacksonville native is trying to get his career off the ground, but those injuries and procedures have hampered his ability to produce. He had just 93 yards on 21 carries and 1 touchdown last season.

Webb is expected to be a reserve in Florida’s backfield this season behind Jadan Baugh and Ja’Kobi Jackson.

Florida will open the 2025 season against Long Island in Week 1.
