Florida star wide receiver Dallas Wilson will miss the rest of the season because of a right foot injury he sustained in Saturday’s loss to Georgia, according to a report on Sunday by Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.

The freshman from Tampa who was supposed to play a significant role in his first season in Gainesville now apparently is done until the 2026 season. Wilson was held to 1 catch for 7 yards in Saturday’s game in Jacksonville before having to leave the game early. That 1 pass that Wilson caught though played a direct role in his departing the game, with a targeting penalty on Georgia’s KJ Bolden being called on the play.

Wilson left the field with a little over a minute to play in the first half, and when Florida came out for the 2nd half Wilson didn’t have a helmet, signaling that he wasn’t going to see any more action on Saturday. Another indicator that Wilson’s foot injury was significant was that he was spotted wearing a boot on that right foot. Sunday’s CBS Sports report confirmed that Saturday’s injury was indeed serious and that Wilson wasn’t removed from the game for any kind of precaution.

Wilson came into Saturday’s game with 11 catches for 167 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, totals that he barely was able to add to against Georgia because of the injury.
