Florida State in the midst of historically poor performance against Clemson
Prior to Saturday, we all knew Florida State was having a bad year. But the Seminoles’ performance against No. 2 Clemson might be the worst game they’ve had in decades.
Florida State currently faces a 52-3 deficit late in the third quarter, having just recently kicked a field goal. Given how poorly the Seminoles have played, a few media members dug up some stats that show this could be a historically poor showing from Florida State.
FSU's worst loss in Doak was 44 points (58-14) against Southern Miss in 1981. This certainly has potential to get there.

Keep in mind that this is all after a scoreless first quarter. Somehow, this game has gotten completely out of hand, with the Tigers outgaining Florida State 455-156 before the fourth quarter has even started.
So how did this happen? Well, in the tweet below, you can see the Seminoles’ less-than-stellar drive chart prior to their moral-victory field goal.

As bad as Florida State has looked today, it could get even worse in the final quarter.
