Florida State will be down a talented linebacker in Sunday evening’s clash against LSU in New Orleans.
Amari Gainer went down early in Florida State’s 47-7 win over Duquesne Saturday. Florida State head coach Mike Norvell updated his status Tuesday evening.

Gainer has been a solid piece for the Seminoles across his three years in Tallahassee. He totaled 4 tackles in the season opener against the Dukes. He’s also averaged just above 64 tackles across his three seasons for the Seminoles, including a 59 tackles season last year.
Gainer was not a starter for the Seminoles. He sat behind redshirt junior Tatum Bethune on the Week 0 depth chart.
