Florida stays red-hot on the trail, adds commitment from huge 2024 defensive lineman
Florida picked up a massive commitment on Monday to keep the good times rolling on the recruiting trail.
And “massive” might still be underselling it. Michai Boireau, a 6-foot-5, 370-pound lineman from Hampton (Ga.) Creekside, announced his commitment to the Gators after taking a pair of weekend visits to Gainesville and Athens. The 3-star prospect held a Top 8 of Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Texas, and Michigan.

Boireau is a 3-star prospect in the industry-generated 247 Composite. He ranks as the No. 97 defensive lineman in the class and the No. 997 overall recruit. His offer list, however, indicates he might be a tad undervalued by the recruiting services.
As a junior last fall, he totaled 43 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, and 4 sacks to help Creekside go 10-3 and reach the third round of Georgia’s AAAAA playoffs.
He becomes the 14th known commitment to Florida’s 2024 class, a group that ranks inside the top 10 nationally. He’s also the seventh verbal pledge the Gators have received in the last week. You can view Boireau’s highlight tape below, via Hudl:
Derek Peterson does a bit of everything, not unlike Taysom Hill. He has covered Oklahoma, Nebraska, the Pac-12, and now delivers CFB-wide content.
