One of Florida’s deepest positions in 2018 was wide receiver. That doesn’t appear to be changing in 2019.

Junior WR Tyrie Cleveland confirmed Friday via his Twitter account that he is returning to UF for his senior season. When he signed with Florida in 2016, Cleveland was rated in the top five wide receivers of the class on the 247Sports Composite. While Cleveland has delivered a few memorable highlight plays, he has yet to put up All-SEC numbers at UF. In 2018, he was fifth on the team in catches (18) and sixth in receiving yards (212). At 6-2, 196 pounds with good speed, however, the pro potential is certainly there. He suffered a broken collarbone in the season finale at FSU and did not play in the Peach Bowl.

So far, five Florida juniors – DB Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, OL Jawaan Taylor, DE Jachai Polite, LB Vosean Joseph and RB Jordan Scarlett – have declared early for the 2019 NFL Draft. All eyes are on the decisions of RB Lamical Perine, WR Van Jefferson and DE Jabari Zuniga.
