Florida’s recruiting class falling apart? Elite WR Jacob Copeland decommits from program

The Florida Gators finished off a rough season with a loss to in-state rival Florida State but that was not the only bad news for fans on Saturday.

Four-star WR Jacob Copeland announced via his Twitter page that he is decommitting from the Gators. Copeland is a dynamic WR who is listed as the seventh overall WR in the nation on the composite rankings at 247 Sports. He is also the eighth overall player from the state of Florida for the 2018 class.

The Gators finished this season with a 4-7 record and are still looking for their next head coach. The right coach may still be able to convince Copeland to come to Florida, but his decommitment is a big loss at this time.
