Former 5-star Alabama signee Antonio Alfano says he is back in the NCAA transfer portal

During the 2019 recruiting cycle, Antonio Alfano was one of the most sought-after prospects. His college football career, however, has not gone as expected. He signed with Alabama in December 2018 but entered the transfer portal in October and landed at Colorado. The No. 5 overall prospect from 2019 is once again looking for a new home.
On Wednesday, Alfano tweeted that he has once again entered the NCAA transfer portal. Alfano did not see the field during his time at Colorado but did make headlines.
In December 2020, Alfano tweeted a lengthy note detailing his ongoing battle with epilepsy. In January, Alfano made news again as he was arrested. He faced charges for suspicion of harassment and resisting arrest in Broomfield. The report of his arrest noted that he was “a University of Colorado Boulder football player who isn’t currently practicing with the team.”
Hopefully, Alfano finds an opportunity where he can display the talent he showed as a high school standout.
