Kyle Allen may be looking to complete a 1,200-mile move from College Station to Columbus.

The former Texas A&M quarterback, who made a decision to transfer from the school three weeks ago, was at an Ohio State’s practice on Wednesday, according to Scout’s Bill Greene.

Since it’s the dead period for recruiting, Greene added that Allen did not communicate with Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer or other coaches. Instead, the former five-star recruit simply watched as the team prepared for its Fiesta Bowl matchup against Notre Dame.

Allen’s decision to transfer from Texas A&M was a surprising one at the time. However, Ohio State also got a surprise this season with inconsistent play at the quarterback position all season long.
