After 3 seasons in Washington, Landon Collins will look for a new home in free agency.

Collins told Josina Anderson that he was not interested in taking another pay cut to stay in Washington. Collins noted that the team’s finances changed with the acquisition of Carson Wentz.

A unanimous All-American at Alabama in 2014, Collins has been in the NFL since 2015 when the New York Giants selected him with the No. 33 overall pick in the draft. Collins spent 4 seasons with the Giants. He was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2015, earned first-team All-Pro recognition in 2016 and made the Pro Bowl 3 times (2016-18).

Collins signed with Washington ahead of the 2019 season. He played in 35 games, all starts, over the past 3 seasons. In 2021, Collins started 13 games, recording 81 tackles, 3 sacks, 2 interceptions, 2 fumble recoveries and a forced fumble.

We’ll see where Collins lands next.
