Former Alabama big man Donta Hall went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft, but ended up playing in the Summer League for the Detroit Pistons.
He then landed a spot with the Pistons’ G-League team, the Grand Rapids Drive.
Now, though, he’ll get his chance in the NBA, as the Pistons announced via Twitter on Saturday that they were signing Hall to a 10-day contract:
OFFICIAL: The Pistons have signed forward/center Donta Hall to a 10-day contract.
Hall has averaged 15.4 points and 10.5 rebounds in 36 games this season with the @grdrive

Obviously, that’s a short-term look for the Pistons, who need him for depth, but it’s still a big deal for Hall.
Hall was averaging a double-double (15.4 points and 10.6 rebounds) in 36 games this season with the Drive. We’ll see how he fares in his brief audition with Detroit.
