Former Alabama DB Bradley Sylve is getting a shot in the NFL.

According to a report by Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Buffalo Bills signed Sylve to a new contract.

Sylve injured his Achilles tendon during Alabama’s Pro Day in 2016, and he ended up having surgery to repair the damage.

“All I remember doing is — when they told me that — I just put my head down and started crying,” Sylve said about the injury. “I cried the whole day and the whole night.”

Sylve never was a top NFL prospect, but he had an opportunity to show scouts he could make a roster and be an asset for a team. He didn’t get that chance last year; however, Sylve returned this year and participated in Alabama’s Pro Day.

Now, the Bills have taken a chance on Sylve, and you just have to feel good for the young man getting another opportunity to make it as a professional athlete.

Sylve was a backup corner for the Tide in 2015-16.
