Former Alabama DB Kareem Jackson reportedly won’t have to sit out 4 games.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared Tuesday that Derrick Brooks has reduced Jackson’s suspension to 2 games.

Jackson was suspended for a hit that got him tossed from the Denver Broncos’ Week 7 game against the Green Bay Packers.

When informing Jackson of the original 4-game suspension, NFL Vice President of Football Operations Jon Runyan called out the former Alabama standout for not avoiding contact to the head/neck area. Sunday’s game marked the second time this season that Jackson has been ejected for a roughness flag.

A member of Alabama’s 2009 national championship squad, Jackson was a first-round draft pick by the Houston Texans in 2010. He remained with the Texans until 2019 when he signed with the Broncos.

With the reduced suspension, Jackson will miss Denver’s games against Kansas City and Buffalo. He will be eligible to rejoin the active roster on Nov. 14 after the Monday Night Football game against the Bills.
