It’s hard to pick standouts from the Baltimore Ravens’ defense after Week 1, but that’s just because the entire unit looked great while shutting out the Cincinnati Bengals 20-0 in Cincinnati.

However, when asked about rookie first-round pick Marlon Humphrey, coach John Harbaugh said he was impressed with the former Alabama cornerback’s performance.

Though Humphrey didn’t record any stats in his NFL debut, and only played nine snaps, Harbaugh told The Baltimore Sun that he earned more snaps moving forward:

“I thought Marlon played really well,” coach John Harbaugh said Monday. “He definitely earned more snaps. He played nine plays on defense and played pretty well on special teams. I would say he earned more snaps. He played well. All the corners played exceptionally well — all three corners on the outside, plus (Lardarius Webb) in the nickel. They played very well.”

The Ravens host the Cleveland Browns in Week 2 on Sunday afternoon, so it’ll be interesting to see how much time this year’s No. 16 overall pick fares against a fellow rookie in Cleveland QB DeShone Kizer.

As good as the Ravens’ defense looked against Andy Dalton and the Bengals in Week 1, the unit could look even better against the 0-1 Browns this weekend.
