Former Alabama defensive back Patrick Surtain II had a play in the 2nd quarter of the Denver Broncos’ Week 5 game against the Las Vegas Raiders that stands as one of the longest of the 2024 NFL season so far.
With nine minutes remaining in the half and the Raiders holding a 10-3 lead with a 1st-and-goal at the Broncos 5, Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew rolled to the left and threw a pass into the end zone. But Surtain was there for the interception and took it back 100 yards the other way for a score.

The interception was the first of the season for Surtain and 8th of his career.
The Broncos entered Sunday’s game with a 2-2 mark. After losing their first 2 games of the season against the Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers, they’re on a 2-game losing streak after wins over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets. Last year, they didn’t get their second win until Week 7.
