COVID-19 issues on the Las Vegas Raiders roster have opened the door for a former Alabama defensive back to be signed to their practice squad.
The Raiders on Thursday announced that they had signed Tony Brown to his 2nd stint with the team. He was originally signed to their practice squad on Oct. 13 before being released in November.
An undrafted free agent, Brown signed with the Los Angeles Chargers in April 2018, where he remained until his release that Sept. 1. He quickly signed with the Green Bay Packers practice squad and spent 2 seasons with the team.
After spending 2020 with the Cincinnati Bengals, he initially signed a 1-year deal in March before being waived and inked to their practice squad. He was eventually released, paving the way for his first time on the Raiders’ practice squad.
The Raiders host the Denver Broncos on Sunday, with kickoff scheduled for 4:25 p.m.
