Former Alabama defensive back Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has landed another NFL opportunity. The Las Vegas Raiders announced the signing of Clinton-Dix to the team’s practice squad on Wednesday.

Clinton-Dix has been in the NFL since 2014, though he hasn’t been on an active roster since the 2019 season.

Clinton-Dix was a first-round selection (No. 21 overall) by the Green Bay Packers in the 2014 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-1, 211-pound safety stayed in Green Bay into the 2018 season before he was traded to Washington. After the 2018 season, Clinton-Dix signed with Chicago.

In 2020, Clinton-Dix signed a one-year, $3.75 million contract that included $2.25 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $1.25 million with the Dallas Cowboys. The reunion with his former Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy wasn’t meant to be, as Clinton-Dix was released by the Cowboys during final roster cuts.

In August 2021 he signed with the San Francisco 49ers. Despite making a memorable interception in preseason play, Clinton-Dix was released by the 49ers on Aug. 31.

Clinton-Dix has appeared in 96 games with 90 starts over his career, recording 516 tackles (411 solo), 5.5 sacks, 16 interceptions with one returned for a touchdown, 33 passes defended, 4 forced fumbles and 4 fumble recoveries.
