Former Alabama DL A’Shawn Robinson rips Matt Patricia after he was fired by the Lions

The Detroit Lions have decided to move on from coach Matt Patricia. The Lions are 4-7 this season and coming off a disappointing Thanksgiving Day loss to the Houston Texans.

Patricia finishes his 2-plus seasons in Detroit with a record of 13-29-1. In 2018 and 2019, his Lions teams finished last in the NFC North.

Let’s just say it doesn’t seem like some former Lions are surprised by the decision from Detroit. As you can see below, after former Lions CB Darius Slay (now with the Eagles) reacted to the news, former Alabama DL (and current Los Angeles Rams DL) A’Shawn Robinson said on Twitter that “you get what you deserve”:

What, exactly, Robinson was referencing is unclear, but it does appear he still has some ill will toward his former coach after spending some time with him in Detroit.

Who the Lions hire next remains to be seen, but it appears Robinson and Slay think it’ll be a big improvement.
