Former Alabama DL Quinnen Williams is a little lighter in the wallet following two fines from the NFL after his play last week against the Denver Broncos.

The New York Jets lineman was fined $15,000 for a roughing-the-passer penalty and $10,000 for a facemask penalty. Those amounts are the standard fines for those penalties for first-time offenders.

Williams was called for roughing the passer on a third-and-3 incompletion at the Denver 37-yard line in the second quarter. With the drive saved by the first down, Broncos quarterback Brett Rypien threw a 48-yard touchdown pass on the next snap to rookie WR Jerry Jeudy from Alabama.

Penalties have been an issue for the Jets this season, something coach Adam Gase addressed earlier with reporters.

On Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, Williams missed some time with a knee injury, but returned and had some solid play for the Jets.
