Up until Tuesday afternoon, Mitchell Wasson was expected to be a preferred walk-on kicker for Alabama.
But the Marietta, Ga. native had a change of heart, announcing on Wednesday night that he will instead become a kicker for Kirby Smart at Georgia:

According to a report from Georgia beat writer Marc Weiszer, Wasson had a desire to stay in-state and that was a huge factor in his decision to play in Athens.
Georgia will be looking for a new kicker in 2016, as Marshall Morgan has completed his eligibility.
Wasson wrote this note announcing his decommitment from Alabama and posted it to his Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon:
