Former Alabama linebacker Terrell Lewis is on track to make his NFL debut on Sunday.
Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay told reporters Friday that Lewis will be on the team’s active roster Sunday for the game against Washington.
Lewis was moved off of IR and returned to practice on Sept. 30.
Injured reserve list protocols were changed for this season allowing teams to bring up to three players off IR and have them return to the active roster. Lewis needed to make the roster within 21 days or land on IR again.
Lewis was on IR after undergoing a procedure on his knee to determine whether he had an infection from previous surgery.
In his final season at Alabama, Lewis recorded 31 tackles, including 11.5 for loss and 6.0 sacks, 16 quarterback hurries, 2 pass breakups and a fumble recovery, earning second-team All-SEC recognition. Los Angeles selected Lewis at No. 84 in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
