The New York Jets signed former Alabama offensive lineman Ross Pierschbacher to their practice squad, the team announced Friday. Pierschbacher was the 5th round draft choice in 2019 by the Washington Football Team. He spent most of his time last year on their practice squad before being signed by the Philadelphia Eagles in December of 2020.

The Eagles then waived then resigned him before he was cut again and picked up by the Jets on September 9. Between 2019 and 2020, he played in 8 games with Philly and Washington.

Coming out of high school, Pierschbacher first committed to Iowa before switching to the Tide. He started on the offensive line as a redshirt freshman and was a starter the rest of his career in Tuscaloosa becoming an All-SEC player and was a team captain as a senior.
