Former Alabama quarterback Blake Sims is hanging up his cleats.
Sims was playing indoor football with the Frisco Fighters when he made the decision almost two weeks ago, per Michael Casagrande of AL.com.

Sims was the starting quarterback at Alabama his senior year, throwing for 3,487 yards, 28 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. His professional career never took off; he went undrafted in 2015, but was offered an opportunity with the Green Bay Packers as a running back.
He went on to play for a number of semi-pro organizations, including the Birmingham Iron, Toronto Argonauts in the CFL and more recently the Fighters in the IFL.
In 2014, he threw for the second most total yards thrown in a single game with 445 against Florida, second only to 484 by Scott Hunter in 1969.
