Former Alabama QB Greg McElroy led the Crimson Tide to the 2010 BCS national championship.
Now, the decorated college athlete is a broadcaster for ESPN’s SEC Network.
On Saturday afternoon, McElroy was assigned to the Alabama-Kentucky game, where he made his feelings on redshirt freshman QB Blake Barnett’s decision to transfer known:

Barnett’s decision to leave the team in the middle of the season is strange, yes, but he may be doing what’s best for him in the long run.
At the end of the day, it’s hard to fault a kid too much for wanting to go somewhere where he can play the game he loves.
No. 1 Alabama, still undefeated, should be just fine without the talented redshirt freshman.
