Former Alabama RB Derrick Henry still learning the ropes in the NFL

Through 12 games in his rookie season with the Tennessee Titans, former Alabama RB Derrick Henry hasn’t seen the field as much as he’d like.
He’s only carried the ball 70 times for 312 yards and two touchdowns while serving as DeMarco Murray’s primary backup.
However, Henry told AL.com he knows he’ll get his opportunity — he just has to wait:
“As a competitor, it’s always going to be tough,” Henry told The Associated Press about his playing time as a rookie. “But you’ve just got to be patient like everybody says.”
Tennessee coach Mike Mularkey said Henry has been doing what’s asked of him in practice, but the Titans don’t want to rush him onto the field if he’s not ready:
“I think the more he gets familiar with the offense and what we’re doing, especially in the protection scheme, he’s playing faster,” Mularkey said. “Derrick, he’s been impressive since Day 1 since he’s been here and taken advantage of every opportunity he’s had.”
The Titans host the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon in what will be a tough matchup for their offense. The game can be seen on CBS at 1 p.m. Eastern time.
