After missing last week’s game with a calf injury, Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry will return to action this weekend against the Green Bay Packers.
The former Alabama star practiced for the first time on Friday and coach Mike Mularkey told The Tennessean that he’s happy to have the reigning Heisman winner back in action:
“He’s a tough guy,” Titans coach Mike Mularkey said. “I’m very encouraged by it. I think it’s good for our football team (to have Henry available).”
Henry has 53 carries for 221 yards and a touchdown as a rookie this season, but he said he wants to see his game improve over the second half of the season:
“I wasn’t really happy with my Jacksonville performance,” Henry said. “I feel I could have done better. But I’ll get an opportunity this Sunday, finish up (Saturday) with a walk through and get ready for the Packers on Sunday.”
The Titans and Packers will square off in Nashville at 1 p.m. Eastern time on Sunday afternoon. The game can be seen on FOX.
