Former Alabama RB Najee Harris fights through traffic, dives for 36-yard TD
Former Alabama running back Najee Harris made an amazing play against the Las Vegas Raiders in the NFL’s Week 6.
The standout RB for the Pittsburgh Steelers took a handoff and immediately ran into traffic. However, Harris fought through the traffic and sprinted down the sideline. Harris outraced the Raiders’ defenders and leapt from the 5-yard line and scored a 36-yard TD.

Harris’ jump was just enough to break the plane. Without the impressive leap, it is unlikely Harris would have made it into the end zone. The 36-yard score was Harris’ 1st TD of the season.
The Steelers have dominated the Raiders in every facet in Week 6. At the 5-minute mark in the 4th quarter, the Steelers had a 29-13 lead. Harris has 14 carries for 106 yards and 1 TD so far.
Heading into Week 6, Harris had 82 carries for 270 yards and also had 12 receptions for 119 yards on the season. Harris has been a reliable back for the Steelers since the team drafted him out of Alabama in the 1st round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Harris was at Alabama from 2017-20 as the RB racked up 3,843 rushing yards and scored 46 TDs during his time in Tuscaloosa. A vital member of the 2017 and 2020 National Championship teams, Harris is still Alabama’s all-time leading rusher and also holds the school record for career rushing scores.
Harris and the Steelers are well on their way to getting their 4th win of the season. The next team on the schedule is the New York Jets in Week 7.
