Nothing has gone according to plan for the New York Giants this season. After entering the year with playoff aspirations, the team has floundered its way to a dismal 2-13 record.

Injuries to WRs Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall, coupled with the lack of a running game and the firing of coach Ben McAdoo, have hampered the team all year long.

Now, they have another key injury to deal with, as star S Landon Collins broke his forearm against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Collins, a former Alabama standout, suffered the injury in the second quarter. He tried to stay in the game, but couldn’t.

Collins said after the game he hasn’t decided whether or not he’ll need surgery, saying he’ll wait until he gets back to New York to figure out his next step (via the New York Post):

“We’ll see when we get back,” Collins said after the Giants lost 23-0 to the Cardinals. “We’ll make a decision on what we should do.”

Below, you can see Collins discuss what happened on the play where he suffered the injury:

The Giants will need Collins back at full strength in 2018 if they’re going to rebound from a terrible 2017 season.
