The Buffalo Bills released former Alabama cornerback/returner Javier Arenas Sunday, according to ProFootballTalk.com. Arenas signed a futures contract with the Bills on Feb. 3.

Arenas has bounced around the NFL since being drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round of the 2010 Draft. He hasn’t appeared in a game since playing for the Atlanta Falcons in 2014.

Arenas recorded 1,069 all-purpose yards, 11 tackles for loss, five sacks and five interceptions during his final season at Alabama in 2009. He was also a consensus All-American and the SEC Special Teams Player of the Year.
