Former Alabama wideout Jameson Williams has shown flashes during the start to his NFL career, but he has also had his fair share of off-the-field issues as well.

The off-field issues appear to be continuing, as ESPN reported on Tuesday that Williams is facing a 2-game suspension for violating the NFL’s Performance-Enhancing Substances (PES) policy.

Williams told ESPN he is disappointed but will take the suspension “on the chin.”

This isn’t the first issue that Williams has had off the field that has led to a suspension. He missed the first 11 games of his NFL career because of a torn ACL injury he suffered in college, and he was suspended 6 games in 2023 for violating the NFL’s gambling policy.

That suspension was later shortened to 4 games after the NFL changed its rules as he was betting on non-NFL sporting events from the facility.

Williams is off to a good start in the 2024 season, as he has 17 catches for 361 yards and 3 touchdowns. Both his yards and touchdowns are second on the team, trailing only Amon-Ra St. Brown.

He is set to miss games against the Tennessee Titans and the Green Bay Packers. He would be eligible to come back on Nov. 10 when the Lions (5-1) face the Houston Texans on the road.
