Former Alabama WR Kevin Norwood had a strong performance this preseason for the Carolina Panthers.

Norwood caught eight passes for 59 yards and a touchdown, but injured his hip in the final preseason game and was placed on injured reserve.

On Friday night, the Panthers parted ways with the former Crimson Tide standout, according to AL.com.

After starting his career with the Seattle Seahawks in 2014, Norwood was traded to the Panthers before last season in exchange for a seventh-round pick.

Norwood played in one game for the Panthers in 2015, but didn’t record any stats.
