The Arkansas Razorbacks had been gaining some momentum on the recruiting trails since hiring Chad Morris away from SMU, but now their 2018 class has taken a hit.

That’s because 3-star OT Luke Jones has decided to decommit from Arkansas and pledge his allegiance to a new school.

According to a post on his Twitter page, Jones will now attend Notre Dame and will sign on National Signing Day on Feb. 7:

According to the 247Sports composite, Jones is the No. 39 offensive tackle in the class of 2018 and the No. 4 overall recruit from the state of Arkansas.

Losing an in-state guy like Jones will certainly hurt the Hogs, so it’ll be interesting to see how Morris and his new staff respond to the loss.

Meanwhile, coach Brian Kelly and the Fighting Irish are celebrating the addition of a big offensive line prospect.
