Former 5-star Auburn DL Byron Cowart transfers to Maryland

Former touted Auburn DL Byron Cowart will transfer to Maryland, according to the team’s official Twitter account during the Early Signing Period.
Things never really progressed for Cowart while at Auburn; so, he’ll try his hand at Maryland. He finished as the former No. 3 overall player in the country in the class of 2015. No doubt the talent is there, but does he have the intangibles? They never really showed at Auburn.
Cowart left the Auburn program this past September, as he was moved to DT from DE. He originally signed with Auburn when Will Muschamp was the defensive coordinator.
