Former Auburn DL Jaunta’vius Johnson has transferred for the second time this year. This time, he’s coming back to Alabama. Johnson revealed Friday on social media that he has transferred to UAB.
A former 247Sports Composite 3-star recruit coming out of Lincoln, Alabama in 2015, Johnson transferred from Auburn to Colorado in January 2019. In May, however, it was reported that Johnson had entered the NCAA’s Transfer Portal for a second time.
Johnson saw limited action at Auburn. He redshirted in 2015 and missed the 2016 season due to injury. His Auburn notes “saw action against Mississippi State” in 2017 and played against Alabama State and Liberty during the 2018 season.
Johnson posted a photo to Instagram on Friday showing him in UAB’s green and gold uniform. He captioned both a tweet and Instagram post, “He Try To Run, Run’ Em Down Thanks For The Opportunity UAB I Owe UAB More Than You’ll Ever Know.”
