Former Auburn DE Corey Lemonier cut for 4th time, this time by Jets

Former Auburn defensive end Corey Lemonier has been released by the New York Jets. It’s the fourth time he’s been cut in the last year.
Lemonier, who was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft, was released with an injury settlement on Monday.
In an injury settlement, a report from AL.com said, an NFL team pays a player a lump sum before releasing him from injured reserve to cover the weeks he’s expected to miss.
Lemonier injured his foot in the preseason. He will apparently be free to sign with a team once he recovers.

The former Auburn standout has spent the past few seasons being shuffled around the league. He played his first three seasons with the 49ers before being cut and shipped off to Cleveland. He was released by the Browns — and the Detroit Lions — before being let go by the Jets.
Lemonier racked up 34 tackles in his final season with the Tigers in 2012.
