Former Auburn running back Cadillac Williams has landed a coaching job with Division II powerhouse West Georgia, according to the school’s official athletic website. He will serve as a graduate assistant running backs coach.
Williams, known as one of the Tigers’ greatest running backs of all-time next to Bo Jackson, rushed for 3,831 yards and 45 touchdowns throughout his four-year college career, including back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns during his junior and senior seasons.
He was a key catalyst in Auburn’s perfect 13-0 record that ended with a Sugar Bowl win in 2004, and then took his talents to the NFL, where he played seven years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2005-10) and St. Louis Rams (2011) and was awarded the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2005.
