Former Auburn WR D’haquille “Duke” Williams was certainly impressive during his CFL debut with the Edmonton Eskimos.
Williams caught four passes for 110 yards and one touchdown — the first of his career — while helping the Eskimos to a 30-27 win over the B.C. Lions. And his first-career touchdown looked like the old Duke Williams Auburn fans grew to love in 2014.

Before his dismissal at Auburn, Williams is certainly known for his big 2014 season, where he hooked up with QB Nick Marshall for 730 receiving yards and five TDs. It was a shame how his career ended in 2015 with the Tigers, but there’s no doubt he was always one of the most talented players on the field.
Williams signed a free agent contract with the Rams in 2016 only to be cut in the following months.
Hopefully, his CFL debut is a sign for things to come on the windy plains of Edmonton.
