Former Auburn WR Duke Williams appears to be getting another shot at playing in the NFL.

Williams was recently released by the CFL’s Edmonton Eskimos, a move reportedly made in order to allow him to pursue an NFL opportunity. A former 5-star recruit, Williams had his career at Auburn end early when he was dismissed midseason in October 2015, undoubtedly hurting his NFL stock. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Rams franchise in 2016, but was part of the team’s final roster cuts before Week 1.

Williams landed in the CFL, where has impressed in two seasons. In the 2018 campaign, Williams hauled 88 catches (on 152 attempts) for 1,579 yards. Eleven of the catches went for 30 or more yards as well as 11 touchdowns.
