Auburn dropped to 3-4 with four straight SEC losses after a 23-17 double-overtime loss vs. Missouri on Saturday night.

In the midst of the questions about Hugh Freeze‘s future, Auburn announced he’ll have regular media availabilities this week. However, former Auburn wide receiver Anthony Schwartz has seen enough.

In a social media post, Schwartz who played under Gus Malzahn from 2018-20, lit up Freeze for his failures as Auburn’s head coach.

“Coach Malzahn was deemed not good enough and not winning enough games, since then we’ve had a losing record and have never won more than 3 conference games in a season,” Schwartz wrote. “The players and the fans don’t deserve this.”

The 56-year-old Freeze has a 14-18 record at Auburn since taking over in 2023. Meanwhile, the 59-year-old Malzahn guided Auburn to a national title and a 68-35 mark in his 8 seasons before getting fired in 2020.

Next up for Freeze and Auburn is a road matchup at Arkansas on Saturday (12:45 p.m. ET/SEC Network). Something will have to give as both teams are winless in conference play.
