Former Florida All-American joining Dallas Cowboys staff, per report

Former Florida All-American Sharrif Floyd is heading back to the NFL for a coaching opportunity. Floyd will be joining the Dallas Cowboys as a defensive line assistant in a quality control role, per Field Yates and Todd Archer of ESPN.
The move reunites Floyd with former Florida defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, currently DC for the Cowboys.
The Cowboys have hired Sharrif Floyd, a 2013 first round pick of the Vikings, as their assistant DL/defensive quality control coach, per @toddarcher and me.

Floyd played defensive tackle at Florida from 2010-to-2012, earning first-team All-American recognition in his final season with the Gators. He declared for the 2013 NFL Draft and was picked No. 23 overall by the Minnesota Vikings.
With the Vikings, Floyd played 3 full seasons before his career ended prematurely. Floyd missed all but 1 game of the 2016 season, his fourth year, due to a knee injury. In March 2017, Floyd learned that meniscus surgery in September 2016 had left him with nerve damage in his knee, ending his pro career.
Floyd got into coaching in 2019 at Ben Franklin High in Pennsylvania. In 2021, he re-enrolled at Florida and joined the football staff as a student assistant.
