Former Florida DL Taven Bryan takes shot at Gators’ old strength and conditioning coach

The Florida Gators held their annual pro day on Wednesday, and that was a chance for DL Taven Bryan and others to showcase their skills.
Following the event, Bryan made an interesting comment, complimenting new Florida strength and conditioning coach Nick Savage while simultaneously trashing the former S&C assistant.
Bryan said he would have been “swole” under Savage’s program, then saying he looked like a Pillsbury Dough Boy under the previous regime:
#Gators DL Taven Bryan on the differences in UF’s strength and conditioning program under Nick Savage: “I would have been swole. We looked like the Pillsbury Dough Boys, they look swole.”

That’s a strong statement to make, but it’s one that could explain Florida’s struggles in 2017. However, Bryan is still likely to be a first-round pick, so all’s well that end’s well, perhaps.
However, we’ll have to see how strong the Gators are this season, because if Bryan is to be believed, the Gators could be a much-improved squad under the new workout regimen.
