Former Florida LB Alex Anzalone gets fined for hit on RB Dalvin Cook

New Orleans Saints (and former Florida) LB Alex Anzalone was fined for his recent hit on Minnesota Vikings (and former FSU) RB Dalvin Cook this past Monday night.
The Saints and Vikings opened the season on Monday Nigh Football. ProFootballTalk reported the NFL slapped Anzalone with a $24,309 fine for the hit to the head against Cook.
“I thought it was a tough call, tough decision,” Saints coach Sean Payton said about the hit, via the New Orleans Advocate. “It’d be hard for them to say anything different, but I think the player is doing well.”
The Saints won 29-19.
